Jocelyn is our valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. KCAU 9 is proud to be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Best of the Class. To celebrate the 40th Anniversary, Best of the Class will be on April 27th at The Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City. Jocelyn will appear in a short clip that will be aired over the network representing Wakefield Community Schools.
Tuesday Track Results @ Wisner
Last week four junior high students, one boy and one girl from seventh and eighth grade, were selected as leaders of their class to talk to the sixth graders about what to expect of the transition from sixth grade to junior high. Once the four students shared their experiences of junior high and advice for the transition, the sixth graders had the opportunity to ask several questions. The questions ranged from topics related to the school schedule, rules and expectations, yellow sheets, homework, and more. One of the main takeaways from the junior high visit was that there is more freedom in junior high, but with more freedom comes more responsibility and communication with teachers is key. It was a beneficial open forum which appeared to ease the sixth graders’ worries about the transition from elementary to junior high school.

Registration opens TODAY! Please sign up by May 18 and all kiddos ages 2-12 will receive a "starting line package" in the mail with fun mileage tracking logs and weekly challenges.
