The Trojan wrestlers head to Tekamah-Herman tomorrow for the District tournament, a qualifying event for the State competition. Wrestling starts at 9 AM. Come out and show your support! Go Trojans!

Wakefield Community Schools Board Decision on 2025-2026 School Calendar
Wakefield Community Schools values the input of our staff, families, and community members in shaping the best possible educational experience for our students. After careful consideration of all implications and reviewing feedback from staff and the community, the Board has decided not to implement a four-day school week for the 2025-2026 school year. Instead, the district will continue with the traditional five-day schedule.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to provide feedback and participate in these important discussions. Your voices are invaluable in guiding decisions that impact our students and staff. We look forward to continuing our collaboration as we work to strengthen our schools and improve outcomes for all of our children.
A calendar will be proposed at the March Board meeting. One date that has been determined is Graduation for the Class of 2026. Graduation will be held on May 9th, 2026.

Friday, February 7, 2025, the Wakefield Speech team hosted the Sweet Meet Invitational. The meet had 189 students from 15 schools that participated in 226 events. For the Wakefield Speech Team, Kinslee Metzler and Sawyer Brudigam placed 1st in JV Duet, and Coltlynn Lortz placed 6th in JV Extemp.
