Wayne State College hosted their 47th Annual WSC Math Contest on Friday, May 5th. Ten students from Wakefield competed with students from around twenty schools from Nebraska and Iowa. Four students placed in the top 10 of their divisions. In Pre-Algebra, Kinslee Metzler finished in 4th place. In the Algebra division, Sierra Kaufman placed 4th, while Jacob Borg placed 10th. Lastly, Jeremiah Reimers brought home a 6th-place finish among the Algebra 2 test takers. Besides taking a forty-question math test, students competed in Jeopardy (fell one point short of the finals!), went on a Scavenger Hunt and were treated to lunch at the college’s cafeteria.
